  1. It isn't a name I would personally choose, and I think its too popular right now.

BUT If its the name they love most they will know if its the perfect fit when they see their baby.

  2. Yuck, horrid. Madison is a masculine boy's name meaning Son of Maude. Horrible for a sweet little girl.

    These would be better:

Madeline (mah dah LINE) / Madeleine (mah dah LYNN) / Madelaine (mah dah LAINE)

    Mathilde / Mathilda

    Magdalene / Magdalena

    Melody / Melanie

  3. It's a beautiful name, very pretty.

I think it's a little overdone though, maybe they could use it as a middle name?

    Some ideas are-

    -Camilla Madison

    -Avery Madison

    -Iris Madison

    -Taylah Madison

    -Willow Madison

    -Jayde Madison

  4. I really like the name Madison

  5. It's a very pretty name but a little over done in my opinion.

  6. I love it. It might be a bit too popular nowadays if they want a truly unique name though.

  7. It's an ok name, not one I would pick, but it's fine.

  8. No.  It is the epitome of trendy.

Aside from the fact that their daughter is likely to be one of several Madisons and Addisons in her class, the name is going to sound very dated in the future (kind of the way names like Gladys and Esther are now).

  9. I don't mean to sound harsh, but I dislike the name Madison.

It's a really trendy, overused name that is actually going out of fashion. I know so many Madison's (usually aged about 7 or 8 years old) that the name has completely lost any appeal that it ever had. The meaning of the name isn't great for a little girl; it comes from an English surname meaning 'son of Maude'. Why would you give a girl a name with such a masculine meaning?

If you're Aunt & Uncle are into names beginning with 'Mad', why not suggest Madeline or Madeleine*? If they like names that end with 'son', why not something like Ellison? I know that the name Ellison has a masculine meaning ('son of Elias'), but it's much more stylish than Madison, and not nearly as popular.

    * Madeleine is a French name pronounced mad-e-lyn.

  10. I love that name!

  11. I absolutely love the name Madison!

  12. BEcause THEY ARE planning TO name THEIR new baby girl MADISON...

Sorry - I couldn't help myself - I had such a hard time reading the question, that I figured others might appreciate a translation :-)
