We play, eat etc.

I haven't looked after a baby as young as 18mths in a long time and i'm not sure what to expect, what sort of things will she be doing?

The mother will still be home just working and I want to keep them happy enough to leave her alone.

Suggestions?

Thanks =] xo

  1. hide an go seek a treasure hunt like hide sweets around the house idk play cops and robbers teachers bake a cake make cookies thats the kinda things my cousins like to play

  2. 1.5 can be a hand full I suggest preparing yourself for swift backhandings.

  3. put liquor in their bottles, wait till their sleep put on you cleats and you favorite teams helmet and KICK'EM LIKE A FOOTBALL!

  4. i baby sit a 4 year old boy and he loves playing with train sets and Lego, things like that. i would expect the 18 month old baby would be happy doing anything that her brother wants to do, as long as they both get equal attention and you involve them both in what they are doing. if they want to go and speak to their mom, try and distract them with another game or something like that.

    good luck, i hope this helped!

  5. Oh, that's great!  I experienced babysitting a1 year old niece and an 8 month nephew at the same time.  If you love kids, you can manage to attend to them without any difficulties at all.

    Of course, you play, eat, sing, watch cartoons together, and even teach her how to count.  Also make paper dolls for her is another activity.  Then another one is to teach her how to write alphabets.  Oh, by the way, she will be able to easily learn her alphabets if you can manage to find soup with alphabets and even cookies with animal shapes.  Then before she will eat those, you need to let her know which is which.  And in the case of animal cookies, let her identify the animals.

    Another way of keeping her busy is to give her paper and pencil so she can scribble or draw.  Then let her identify her own drawing and write what she mentioned about her drawings and keep the drawings with her name and date in an envelop so you can see her stages of improvement.  From time to time, remind her of the past lessons so she can remember everything.

    Request her mother to buy her some nursery rhymn books, fairy tales books so that you can read to her everyday before going to bed. Do the reading everyday so that she can remember every words in the books.  And soon enough, you will discover that she could identify the characters who said this and who said that in a smooth manner.  Also, request the mother to buy her nursery songs for her to listen to everytime she tries to sleep.  Be sure to mention the lullaby ones.

    GOD BLESS THE CHILD :)
