Im babysitting my 6 year old sister tonight...?

okay so im 13, and my friend is coming over tonight while my mom is going out. my mom says i have to do something with my sister and not just shoo her away. my mom knows my friend is coming over but says i have to do something productive with her. i told her id do her nails, do her hair, and play dress up. then i said she could watch a movie with popcorn. but idk what else to do. any other activities. and by them i mean like arts and crafts. (:

  1. Kids love coloring...and put the TV on and whenever a song comes up dance...(the kids i watch love that)..there are sites that have coloring pages OR have her color a folder or something


  2. board games, make cookies, play tea party. make a crown, play dolls...

  3. well, you could come up with an even better thing to do like go to the park for a picnic, or something fun!!

    ~you can color a coffee filter then squirt it with water so the colors blend it comes out really cool and if you have pipe cleaners you can wrap one around the middle to make it look like a butterfly

  5. Make a "tent using chairs and blankets.  Get a flash light, and some coloring books and new crayons or make dot-to-dot pictures for her : )

  6. you could put some music and dance. just do random stuff! 6 years old i think are the easy age to wacth!

  7. coloring is fun, you could paint, make bead braceletsetc.

  8. try doing a scavenger hunt, but with a twist. hide one of her toys somewhere in the house (but make sure its ok to hide that toy) and tell her that if she finds it then she gets a treat. that way u and ur friend get to chill a bit, and your sister is occupied. u could also play sherades all together or get her to draw pictures.

  9. play a board game, music, go play outside etc...

  10. When my son was that age... he loved doing shadow puppets on the wall and we would come up with crazy looking stuff and had to guess what it was.
