Im being called a poser?!?

Question

ok so today for my first day i wore this really cute top but it was a little preppy And thats not usually my style. i wear things ranging from dinosaur t-shirts and cat eared hoodies to polos and mini skirts, but heres my dilemma my best friend says that if i do this people will call me a poser. so i was wondering do you think that constitutes as being a poser or wat you think it makes me? all thoughts are welcome i just want to see wat other people think...

I dont think that makes you a poser at all.

Actually i think its very inspiring to other ppl...that your willing to try new things and step out on a limb.

And as long as you like your clothes because they reflect YOU then i dont see anything wrong with wanting to look a little preppy now and then. But remember if your trying to fit in then thats when the word "poser" really starts to kick in.

So be true to yourself.

Then you will be able to be true with others.

And if they still call you a poser just say that you wanted to change your style a little.And make sure they see that you are happy with who and what you are.

Dont let others get in the way of what you have a right to have...PERSONALITY!!!!!(:

Who cares. I had friends who wanted to stop being my friend because I dressed different, although my personality didn't change. People's opinions shouldn't matter. They're not buying you food, clothes, shelter, so who cares what they think.

do what you want. people may not like it, but your style shouldnt be based upon their opinions.

honestly, you may get some c**p for it in the begininng, because seeing you dressed like that isn't what people are used to seeing. but eventually, the newness and shock factor and the 'omg wtf she's *suchandsuch stupid stereotype*' will wear off, and people will accept that your style has a wider range and you cant be pigeonholed into certain styles :]

you can wear whatever you want,.....when you start acting different to fit in, thats a poser....pretending to like a band b/c its "cool" and stuff like that......but as far as style....i change so much i cant keep up...i wear the skinny black jeans and converse and vest and high socks, then i wear high fashioned jeans heels and a tie bow blouse....so am i a poser to because i wear different styles. this is silly i think
