Im bored! what should I do?

Im home schooled and I live in the middle of nowhere. What should I do?

Boredom is an insult to one's own intelligence.

If the coursework you are studying is not sufficiently challenging, then you need to stretch yourself to do more.  

Find an area of study that particularly interests you and become an expert on some area of it.  Learn a foreign language (or two: one modern and one ancient); become proficient at a musical instrument; write a novel, a collection of short stories, or a book of poems; write a comprehensive history of your town/county/part of the country; become a mentor, even if it is online; find a way to help others in your community; invent a game (card game or board game or both).

ride a bike, skateboard, roller blades, basket ball, baseball,football,tennis, rugby, monopoly, other board games, build stuff fishing, tv, pick your nose, bug your siblings, go for a walk, excersize, sleep.oh ya this iz the best answer.

Arts, or sports comes to mind quickly.  There are many things in the world about which you could study and learn.  

Maybe you could do some volunteer work.  I know you maybe don't live near people, but you could do data entry.  There must also be some people locally.  You could have out with them, learn from them etc.

You could probably always help clean the house, nothing is ever spotless.  Create a shore list for yourself.

Think of things you can do to help out family members.  Call extended family, or write to them to keep in touch.

Collecting is another great hobby.  It can be anything, rocks from your yard...

You could even find something beyond Yahoo answers.

Exactly where in the middle of nowhere? Often there is more to do than you know. Contact the chamber of commerce, the local library, the local parks and recreations dept, agriculture dept, etc. Google your city, county, and area just to see what comes up. People often tell me my area is dull, but I am never bored and often cannot do all that I'd like in the time I have.  Remember, if you can't find a club, form one.

Get involved in your area's network and get some homeschooled friends.  It is up to you, as you are old enough to get on here and ask about this, to get interested in something; history or art or somethign that you can study.  Start figuring out what you will study in college and get a head start.  You will excel quickly and test out of a lot of things if you start researching your college years in your spare time.  Join some sports, and work on your physique.  Health is important, too.

oh, TELL ME ABOUT IT! you have some options though:

-buy/read new books, check them out of a library...that is, if you are even graced with one.

-go on walks

-find something, ANTHING, that sounds interesting  or weird to do, in other words, a project to keep you occopanied, some ideas:

-dig a hole in the ground, cover it with a board or two or three and call it your "clubhouse" or something (I've tried this, the hole wasn't very big though :D)

-dig a "swimming hole", this one is hard but fun and rewarding! I'm not talking a gigantic swimming holw, just one that is big enough for you to sort of swim in! My sister, my friends, and I have done this before, when dug the hole and dug a ditch from the water facet to our "pond", it took about a month (but only ecause we kept procrastinating.)

read some books, magazines and such, things that would increase your knowledge about things.. or play some games..
