  1. Yer tell me about it lol... I'm still going through the same problem as you. I'm 17 this year and I remember this started when I was in Year 8/9 then worsened where my whole face was covered.

I used ProActiv too but it didn't really worked either. It dries my skin up instead.

I went to consult my doctor who prescribed me some very light (50mg) acne medication which is like anti biotics. I took them for 3 months and the break outs stopped. You should see him/her about it.

Other than that, it is beyond your control. Until your body decides to stop, you will keep getting them until you reach adulthood.

What you can do is to stay away from fatty foods and eat more fruit. Drink more water. Fruit and water really helps your skin. To me, chocolate and fatty foods can contribute to my acne as I've noticed a pattern over the years. Forget what the researchers say there's no link - use your common sense.

    Good luck :)

PS: I'm using Clinique at the moment and it's working for me. Perhaps you should give it a go? They're sold at department stores.

  2. Forget the proactive, those products get you by having to stay on them and if you don't follow their plan, you break out again!

Wash your face with salicyclic acid, it's an active ingredient in some of the face washes. That's to start.

I pulled information out of a book I got at www.acnetreatmentscamsrevealed.com

There is a 4 step process in getting your skin clean, then getting at the bacteria under the pimples.

Just don't pop the pimples, your skin may scar!  Happenned to me  : (

    Take care,

    SL

  3. quite often when we reach adolescence, we start to have problems with acne. some people can fix the breakouts with over the counter products, and some people need stronger stuff. a doctor can prescribe pills for it, plus really strong creams and lotions. if the store stuff doesn't work, ask your doctor.
