Im bulimic and have an ortho appointment tomorrow.. :(!?

its obvious and like my bottem front teeth are completely CLEAR. i just dont know what to say about it.

it would be SOO akward for her to mention something to me, should i just come out clean with her first??

please please help me :(

im not bulimic anymore but i smoke sometimes.

i know i cant reverse the damage i've done but idk what to say tomorrow !!!

tell her about it, if it doesnt happen anymore. im anorexic so my teeth arent to strong either. but i havent told mine or dont plan to when i see her tomorrow too. =/

Its not a big deal to tell her. She will know anyway. I am a dental hygienist and we see people all the time that used to be bulimic. Just talk to her about it. You should prob. get some fluoride trays tho, so you don't weaken the enamel that you do have...

She's not gonna lecture you if thats what you are worried about. She's a professional and Im sure has seen the signs of bulimia many times before. Dont stress. Just talk to her and you'll feel better about it, especially if your gonna go back time and time again for multiple appointments. :)

be honest with her, she'll probably guess it anyway. that way she can choose treatments that best suit the condition of your teeth. she might think you have a genetic problem with enamel.

she will definitely notice, and if it's relevant to the treatment she will ask about it. if she does, be honest. if she doesn't say anything, only bring it up if you're concerned it will be an issue.
