I have to buy a new laptop. What are the best kinds to get?? I dont want to spend over $1,000 but if I have to will go up to $1,500 for one I really want. Tell me why you like it. I need it to be fast, have built in cam, cute, and just general stuff. I use it for school mostly, burning cds, music, and the interent of course.

DONT SAY sony vaio. I have one the fe series. My screen cracked a little while sitting in my lap and its spreading and OF COURSE best buy and sony say thats not covered w warranty. AND it will cost $699.19 to fix the freakin screen. Ill just buy a new one NOT A VAIO THO!!!

  1. Lenovo from IBM would be the best choice for you. There are wide-range prices. Lenovo notebooks are durable and also fast.

The other choice is Toshiba or HP.

  2. Get an EEPC they are cheap, durable and the new ones have more storage and more RAM and OS choices.

  3. i have a hp pavillion and i burn cds and dvds all the time,i listen to music at all times and the wlan is great i have great connection all the time.the BASE processor is amazing so its fast.and it has the hp webcam which does video and picture and is good.even has a remote to control music and videos.

  4. anything that's toshiba

  5. Buy any pc that's in sale, but don't get overpriced macbooks. With pc laptops, you usually get quadruple the memory, double or even triple the storage, faster processor, higher resolution screens, and the most compatible os on the planet.

  6. Toshiba is always good.  Don't get compaq!  They're no good!
