  1. Truthfully for small game your better to go with a .22 you could probably get a bolt or break action .22 for very little money look at your local sporting goods store or at walmart I got one at walmart for like 80 dollars then you can get a scope for like twenty and a .22 is alot more powerful then a pellet gun.

  2. crosman quest 800 x it comes with rings and a 4x scope which is sufficent for hunting small game and i suggest beeman silver sting pointed pellets for hunting they are dead accurate and kill game instantly if hit any where in the vitals because it penetrates and a softer lead is in the middle of the pellets so after enough penetration it will expand or get smushed and create a large hole in an animal and it goes through the animal since it is going fast enough which will be devastating to any animal up to the size of a possum at reasonable ranges that is (20 yards or less and further for smaller animals)

  3. The Daisy 880 and the crossman in the same price range are both decent little guns, that shoot fairly accurately and pack a pretty good punch for under $50.    If your wanting something a little better, look into the benjamin air rifles.  You lose the ability to shoot bb's, but gain alot of power and a good bit of accuracy, and you'll still stay well under your $200 limit.   You might want to look into the .22 caliber models as well....they have much more drop over distance, but the heavier pellet gives much more stopping power than the .177 caliber.   As far as a scope goes, you should probably never even attempt a shot over 50 yards with an air rifle at live game, so you shouldn't need much of a scope.   One of the better tasco's or a low end simmons will give you what you need for under $50

  4. firstly, dissregard the previoys answer wich obviously comes from a person not educated in firearms. id say forget the scope. when you consider small gam,e hunting with an air rifle, is many times under  30 foot range, you should be able to make an accurate clean shot with open sights only. now thae scope that comes with most air rifles are the cheapest tasco scope made, wich are alos included with the purchase of a new rinmfire rifle. they are complete junk, toss it.a suggestion. in many places, wal mart for example, you can get a really cheap daisy model 880 for less than $50. they are pneunmatic pump air rifles that fire both steel bb's or lead pellets. the only drawback is that they are mostly plastic and cannot be abused. i hope this helps. happy hunting.

  5. You weenie, buy a real gun.

  6. >>I want to know if the scope I'm purchasing is good<<

It would help if we knew which scope you were looking at and what rifle you plan to put it on.

You can go to airgun sites and look at hundreds of scopes

Later: <added> That's a nice scope, but not the one I would choose. Read the article on "AO-meaning" and I think you will understand why.

    This one has an AO

    Leapers 4x32AO Bug Buster $56.95

This one is parallax-adjustable from 3 yards to infinity.
