helo guys. i need your help here. i need some help with my program and any advises are needed. thanks. i want to know if it correlates to benchpress, is it the same. i weight 170lbs/77kg and i asked a friend who weights 120lbs/55kg to stand on my back and i put my hands on a bathroom scales. on pushup position. i didnt go down, arms straight. the weight is 225lbs/100kg on that position. and i can do 12 pushups with 120lbs person standing on my back. does that mean that i push 225lbs 12 times in a row? one thing for sure is, the weight of me and my friend on my back when im doing pushups is 225lbs/100kg on the bathroom scales. and is it equivalent to benchpressing 225lbs 12 times? or not? and if its not the same as benching 225lbs, is it much different or not? whats your opinions? help me please.

  1. It's pretty much the same, you may want to check the scale again to make sure that the weight is accurate but this is a good way to train those chest muscles that benching hits. In my opinion it's a better way, push ups are just a more efficent exercise overall.
