ok its been about a week and my period has still not shown up im always early now all of a sudden im late me and my boyfriend had unprotected s*x every week in may.but if i am pregnant it wouldn't be a problem. i just wanna know.. i took a test day before yesterday and when i tried to pee on the test it wasn't alot i was surprised it worked but when i looked at it it had one dark like line and a tiny light line that you could barely see from a distance. then yesterday i wasn't quite feeling to good. my stomach was hurting as if my period was about to start but it didn't and my right leg was hurting idk why. so this morning at 1am i took a test and it did the same thing the first one did. could it be a false positive?or could i be pregnant?

  1. the only time you would get a false positive is when you were pregnant but there was something wrong with the chromosomes and the baby wouldn't make it. in that case you would have had to taken the test BEFORE your period. so as i am reading your question i noticed that you have taken the test after your period was due. so that means that YOU ARE PREGNANT! CONGRATS!

  2. false positives usually dont happen so looks like ur preggers

  3. no if its positive, (even a light one) its positive, congraz!!

  4. Congrats! Your pregnant! I had  extremely faint positives with both of my girls. Your more likely to get a false negative then a false positive. You can always go to see your doctor to confirm it.

  5. That's how the one I took was.  Just a really light line.  It can be confusing, but I would go to the doctor or I went to planned parenthood.  It was like 18 dollars but worth it to be positive!

  6. "false positives" are quite rare, why dont you try with a clearblue test or a first response these can detect pregnancy upto roughly 6days ish before your period is due.

They are quite expensive, but dead cheap on ebay if you can wait a couple of days.

Also dont wee on the stick wee in a cup and dip it in, then at least if you do it wrong and have a spare you can use the same urine. Since the first wee of the day is always the best to use, use that also :)

  7. The second line that you didn't see from a distance, could be an evaporation line. It's very important that you follow the directions on the test and throw the test away after the suggested time frame.

Make sure that you collect a urine sample that's concentrated enough (first morning urine is best!) and then dip the test into the urine. some tests give you the option of collecting it in a cup or peeing directly on it. I prefer to collect it, that way I know it is hitting the strip.

If you truly believe that the second line isn't an evaporation line, and it appeared in the time frame that the directions said, you are most likely pregnant. Call your doctor to confirm this with a blood test. Good luck!

  8. false positives are VERY rare. most likely your pregnant. wait another day or so and the line will be darker. set yourself up with an OB to have a blood test done.

  9. Mazeltov!
