ok i have seen a boxer throwing hooks BUT as i observe some fighter throw with wrist straight but some is there wristat 90degree angle so what the proper method?

  1. yes, you should always keep your wrist straight when punching--whether you are throwing a jab, a hook, a cross or an uppercut.  the part of the arm that is bent when throwing a hook is the elbow.  you should get trained by a trainer about how to correctly throw different punches.  otherwise, you risk injuring yourself.


  2. wrist must stay strait b/c if not you could break your hand. A friend of mine hit me and broke his band b/c his wrist wasn't strait

  3. I co-sign with lestermount. You're wrist should be straight at all times, when punching. If not you could possibly injury your wrist.

  4. You need to keep your wrist straight.

    If you contact someone with your wrist bent you stand a good chance of injuring yourself.
