Im coughing alot...source? airbags maybe?

Question

i was in a bad car acident a few days ago and all of a sudden im getting a really bad cough.

i did some research and saw that perhaps its from the powdery stuff thats on airbags...my question is...would their be anyway to help sooth this? cough drops and water do not help

In most cases of airbag deployment, there is no sodium azide remaining, so it's unlikely that you inhaled any un-ignited chemical.   But the substances left behind may be a problem.
