  1. Hey people on the East Coast probably needs a lil insight.

Well, except for Sebastian,Fl. and Nags Head N.C, but usually beaches with small surf like Jacksonville Florida or Georgia should be your targets.

kooks way of learning.....that should be your title

  2. Hi Bee! Sounds like a neat project, so don't get too discouraged yet. Since your DVD is about a specific region of Ireland, I am going to make the assumption that you are in Ireland, and thus, your target audience will probably be some group from the British Isles. I suppose that would of course include Irish natives and tourists from England, Scotland & Wales. Surfing is growing popularity there like crazy, based on what I read on line and in surf mags. Your target group could either be youg twenty-somethings in search of an exciting new hobby (and with some disposable income), or perhaps families, looking for a new , healthy fun filled sumer pasttime.

If my original assumption is wrong, then you may be looking for a tourist population, most likely from the US or Australia (we all speak almost the same language), and your spin could aim at  a 'different' kind of trip to Ireland, perhaps for folks who want a new surfing frontier.

I found a picture of an Irish surfer riding a ripper huge wave on line and showed it to a buddy of mine who has been to Ireland several times. I asked him where he though the picture was from, and he replied "Hawaii?" he couldn't believe it was in Ireland. Maybe spreading the joys of surfing to Irish teens and twenty somethings might be your path of least resistance. I have been surfing for 42 years, and I am always happy to see surfing grow (in the right way). Anyhow, good luck. Let us all know how you make out.
