  1. no that doesn't make any sense at all. rhythm or fluid movement whatever you call it is the basics of boxing. Mayweeather has especially good rhythm

  2. Mayweather said it himself, he dont bonce while fighting because the fighter will know your rhythm. Mayweather has good stamina and defense. Those are some key thing for a boxer. You dont get those type of boxer to come alone everyday. Mayweather doesn't waste punches, accurate, move and punches. He has a good mental game and smarts. When he's in the corner, he and his uncle talks about whats going on. They talk about what the other guy's is doing and his openings. Other fight dont do that, but say ok, yes or I do it. head movement, fight on the ropes. I havent even talked about the rest of things he has in his tool box. Preserve and turns it on late in the match. Win early ronds and make the guy fight more desprate and use all his energy up. That's when they go pop and they lost a decision or get knock out.

  3. It's because he's been a gym nut since he put on gloves at the age of 2.  He sometimes sparres 30 minute rounds with different sparring partners coming in and out.  When he's not throwing punches he's still using lightning like reflexes and great movement around the ring in these fights.  He just a great athlete.

  4. Yeah, its easy to figure a boxer's strategy. Not so easy, however, is overcoming that strategy. Mayweather is a gifted, 1 in a 100,000,000 athlete who just has good genes. You can't learn the stuff he has. His reflexes and speed are unrivaled and are twice that of the average man. The same way Mike Tyson's punching power is 1 in 100,000,000. It just a gift, something your born with.

  5. There's no secret.  He trains like a mutha, but not just that, he paces himself the same way a marathoner knows not to sprint for 5 miles before falling over dead.  Watch Floyd's performance against Hatton.  After the early round jitters went away and the fight settled down into a battle of attrition, Floyd throttled back while Hatton kept his foot on the gas.  It made the middle rounds closer than they should have been, but once Floyd saw Hatton starting to fade, he stepped on the gas and knocked Hatton out.  There was no way Floyd could have KO'd Hatton early.  And if Floyd had gone all out in the middle rounds, it would have been he rather than Hatton that wore down and lost.  It's less about rhythm and more about judicious expenditure of physical energy.  A lot like winning the Belmont horse race...the animal that wins it usually comes from the middle of the pack and then sprints at the end.

  6. True.  He also runs a 5 min mile.

  7. i believe so because that way the opponent wont expect anything when he decides to throw some punches... and when u have rhythm the opponent knows that rhythm making it easier for him to know where the next punch will come from.

  8. mayweather says he's in the gym "every day" thats why he has so much stamina
