Im doing a report in school on non-charitable organizations but i cant think of anything...any ideas?

You're confusing your terms.

A non-profit organization is simply one that does not offer stock and does not try to make a profit on its product or service.  It should and hopefully will have a profit each year, but that profit is put into the operating costs of the organization, not into benefits for the executives.  No individual makes a financial "profit" from the company's success.  So the organization can make a profit, and be profitable, but the profit is not the goal of the organization.

A charity is almost always a non-profit, but a non-profit is not always the same thing as a charity (charitable organization).  A charity is focused on directly providing products or services to those in need.  Schools are non-profits; a homeless shelter is a charity.

Think about an important issue or need in your community.  Tutoring for children?  English lessons for immigrants?  Environmental clean-up?  Animal shelter?
