  1. You cannot get rid of dyslexia. You develop strategies to help you cope with the reading difficulties.

I do not know specifically about Air Force pilot restrictions regarding reading, or any other pilots. I do know only a very small, select group are chosen to be air force pilots.

There are many jobs you can do in the military and other branches which have pilots. It might be in your favor if you were already licensed as a pilot.

Many dyslexics are quite successful - Tom Cruise, Cher, Thomas Edison, Leonardo da Vinci, Richard Branson, Jay Leno, Whoopi Goldberg . . . so do not let your disability stand in your way.

  2. There are special classes for people with dyslexia. It will help to get rid of it. The Air Force will not take dyslexics as pilots just because of the problems it may create....sorry...you might want to pick a new dream.

  3. You can't get rid of Dyslexia.  IT's brain function, however you can learn to work with it and cope.

  4. OK.

well i dnt no if this will help.

but my brother is dislexic. hes in his 20s and he has a verii good job.

i think the air force will let u in if u hav a special course, and ur diylexia can go away sometimes once u grow older.

    hope that helpd

    XD

  5. You will need to contact the Air Force for that information. They may take you but you may not be allowed to be a pilot. There are pretty strict restrictions on pilots in the military. In fact that's how African Americans got into high positions in the military. There was such a shortage during the second WW that they started to allow African Americans in and they ended up being one of the most decorated air groups. Anyways, I digress.

To answer your dyslexic question, no, you can not get rid of it. You can re wire your brain around the damage but you can not get rid of it. There are specifically designed programs to help you read better, but your brain will always have that damaged area. I have pictures of the brain I can send you.
