  1. Ginger ale or Sprite can help with the nausea.

You should also drink something like Gatorade, or something with electrolytes in them to help rehydrate.

Eat softer foods, like congee (rice porridge) or soup (chicken noodle is always good). Doesn't really keep you from throwing up, but it's easier on your body to throw it up, if that makes any sense.

Sometimes if you call your doctor, he or a nurse will be nice enough to give you some free advice too without having to go in.

Also, it wouldn't hurt to try calling a friend/family to do some medicine shopping for you.

Edit: Ibuprofin thins the blood, so I don't think that will really help with the nausea at all.

  2. Sound like you have the stomach flu that has been going around.

if you have any soda cracker, (saltines) they would help settle your stomach, and you might try some chicken and rice soup with them.

  3. Ginger is good...make some ginger tea, with fresh ginger.. I know there are acupressure points on the inside of the wrist for motion sickness..hand palm up..middle of wrist, maybe one inch down from hand..don't have to press very hard, either wrist.. do you have vertigo? Maybe inner ear problem? Acupressure point on your TMJ...temporal mandible joint....open your mouth, find the jaw joint, close your mouth...that's the TMJ...lightly press..it helps release the attachments to your mastoid process behind the ear...

  4. Don't take the meds.It might upset your tum.

Sounds like you have gastroenteritis which can result from food poisoning or other viruses.

Keep hydrated...if you cannot drink then take little sips.Just stay hydrated.

Maybe have someone pick up some ginger capsules or tea for you.Ginger can alleviate nasuea.

    Stay in bed and rest.

You shouldn't take any medication to prevent throwing or or diarrhea because your body is trying to rid itself of whatever is making you sick.

Possibly have someone pick up some charcoal tablets (in case you have food poisoning)

Saltine crackers can help settle a stomach.

Peppermint can also help with nausea.

Lemon with water sipped slowly has helped some people.

Don't stress out about it.Stressing can make your stomach worse.

    Good luck, feel better soon.

  5. If you have ginger ale or ginger tea that will help.
