Im flying into Ercan in north cyprus, whats the best place to stay in north cyprus?

i would say kyrenia.. I would also rent a car since there is not much public transportation. i would avoid renting a villa and would opt for a hotel.. Most of these villas are built on forest that was burnt (probably by the same people to build houses!) .

I hate to see people making money over burning forests..

It depends what you want to do/see/enjoy!

If you love being close to a historic town centre, great restaurants, cozy bars, and romantics sunsets over a Venetian harbour, Kyrenia is great!

If you love golf, like to be close to golden sanded beaches, a lively village centre and within striking distance of the wild and rugged Karpas peninsula, look at Esentepe.

If you love mountain views, traditional Cypriot feel, and historic ruins filled with classical music, you'll adore the mountain village of Bellapais.

To get away from the crowds, head west to Lapta and beyond, where the beaches stretch for miles, and life is more laid back - if that's possible!
