Im flying into bologna, then visiting venice cinque terra tuscany and out of rome. what woud be a good order?

we want to take the quickest trains possible, any suggestions on the order to visit and which trains?

  1. If you are flying into Bologna the I would suggest your next stop be Venice, then Cinque Terre, followed by Tuscany ....then to Rome for your departure.

    Many travelers purchase a train pass but it really is  not necessary - Trenitalia is an efficient mode of transportation. Each city has a main train station with an information center (most customer service personnel speak English well) - they will provide you with a list of departure times and rates.


  2. From Bologna I would go to Cinque Terre, then on to Venice, then make my way south to Tuscany & end in Rome.  The trenitalia website is pretty easy to use.  www.trenitalia.it .

  3. Bologna then Venice then you can get a train from Venice to Genova an get a train or a boat to cinque terre then tuscany and Finlay

    Rome.
