  1. Get a passport, a lot safer and a lot less hassle. They have the right to refuse you on a driving license as a lot of fakes are being produced, also this is a domestic flight not an international.


  2. You will need a passport because it is an international flight.

  3. If checking in at the Airport a driving license is sufficient as the UK and Ireland have a border agreement, Legally any form of ID is valid but in recent years the airlines and airports have imposed additional requirements.

    Online checkin with some airlines, notably Ryanair requires the use of a Passport as the Passport number is required to complete checkin.
