Im flying to mexico to visit my family. Can i bring back liqour in my suit case?

My older brother asked me if i would bring him back some alcohol since he isnt going to Mexico. Am i allowed to bring it back in my luggage since it wont be on carry on type bag or anything like that, so i wont exactly have it with me?

Plus I'm only 19 years old. Will that be a problem once i get back in the US?
