  1. Ya know don't do it if those animals weren't raised in the first place then they would never be born in the first place, hence they would never get to come into the lovely world of ours!!!

So if you feel bad about getting them killed and experiencing pain (which probably that terrible) then go ahead and don't support life and be a vegan!!

  2. Its difficult if they dont support you. Theres not much you can do if you can't convince them to let you eat what you want since you probably dont have any money of your own for food.

Recipezaar is a great site with lots of recipes.

Also do an internet search for vegan recipes, and you'll find alot of info.

  3. Don't be a vegan no guys would want to go out with you, except vegan ones(but they are weird)...I went out with a vegan girl and I dumped her after one date because she got crazy when I ate meat.

  4. i'm a vegan  of four and a half months, and i just turned 16. My parents dont know yet...

I would suggest telling them your views on animal cruelty, and maybe back it up with some facts, since it is very real and very common. If they dont understand...be strong. After all, it's your life, not theirs, and rebellion is the very essence of being a teen, yes? haha. as for recipes, i usually just google whatever i want to make. either that or use replacements for the meat and dairy(such as tofu and soy) in your original recipe.

  5. Well first of all, vegetarian and vegan are two different things. Vegan is eating only plant based foods with absolutely no animal products and vegetarians can eat dairy and eggs but no meat.

To get your parents to understand, you can do a number of things. To show them how cruel and unethical factory farming is, you can show them this video.

To help them understand how healthy a balanced vegetarian diet is, you can tell them that vegetarians have lower risks of; cancer, type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, heart disease, and they even live longer! You can tell them how the overproduction of cattle is leading to deforestation and highly contributes to global warming. Fish contains high levels of mercury which often leads to mercury poisoning which can be fatal. Chicken is the most highly contaminated meat. It has the highest amount of hormones and ecoli(its p**p.. ewww!) and mens fitness rated it the number one do not eat meat! Those are just a few of the things you can tell them, but in the end it is your choice and you have to stand up to them and tell them that you are going to eat what you want to and they should support you as long as you are leading a healthy lifestyle.. hope this helped. :)

  6. I became vegan at 14!! Your parents really can't keep you from that decision unless they want you to starve or something and i'm sure they'd rather want you to be a vegan then starve! Don't be disrespectful but assert your belief in being a vegan if thats what you want!

  7. You are still growing and need adequate high-quality protein. You also need to build the bones you will have for the rest of your life.

For safety's sake if for no other reason, put off vegetarianism and/or veganism till you're 18 or so. I know it's hard for a 14 year old to think of how her life will be when she's 60, but what you do now may well affect whether or not you have to struggle with osteoporosis then.

  8. ok well your parents are wrong to do this tell them its your life style ang tell them that its normal

this web site has tones of recipes so it helps you just type vegan in the search colum and it will give you a list of vegan food
