im 17 will the braces hurt ,how would they get put on, what color should i get

For seventeen you type like a six year old.

It hurts, they just paint some glue on your teeth and put on the brackets.  Then they put a wire in your mouth and then attach the bands.  Get blue, they make your teeth look more white.

i have had braces for 2 years now and im 18.....i got silver....because the colors look like they're for little kids and idk i just dont like it.....umm...they're going to hurt when you get your wires changed...and if you get rubber bands....but it only hurts for a day or 2...taking tylenol helps a lot!....they put the braces on using a type of glue...that they heat with a blue or yellow light....and then they are like cement on your teeth...it will feel wierd....but you get used to it...they aren't that bad!...hope you have pretty teeth soon! =D

nope they dont hurt when they get put on they put this glue on ur teeth that taste nasty but other than that nope but when u go to the dentist everymonth and they remove ur wire and add a new one u will feel soreness after awhile hmmm get the color green good luck =)

My brother got his braces on around 17 too.

Braces don't really hurt while they're being put on. But they do hurt for like the first couple days. My brother actually cried when he tried to eat soft bread.

They put some type of cement glue on your teeth and then they carefully put the brackets on. Then they line up the wire and it all holds together with the colorful rubber bands.

I chose the color black but my brother chose white/clear because he didn't want it to be really obvious he had braces.

haha yes they will hurt but not when you put them on... they will hurt like h**l the day after so be prepared. but after bout a week they will get better. pick a color when you get there and i would say pink and bue. but it will take like 1 to 2 hours to gt them on. good luck!!

WHEN YOU GET YOUR BRACES ON  IT DOES NOT HURT AT ALL BUT THE CEMENT STUFF IS NASTY....YOUR MOUTH WILL BE SO DRY AFTER ....  THE NEXT DAY YOUR BRACES WILL HURT AND ALL YOU WILL BE ABLE TO EAT IS MASHED POTATOES...YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO EAT BREAD EITHER ...IT WILL BE HURTING FOR AT LEAST A WEEK...

usually you can't always pick the colors unless you have rubber bands. I don't and I have braces and for almost a year and a half they suck. especially when you tighten them i need a couple of vikadin to ease the pain.... and the work part is that you might have to carry way and a tooth brush around with you. I just choose not to eat in public cuz the food gets stuck in my braces for the whole day and it is hard to get out. and the wax you will most likely get anyways but if they don't give it to you please ask for it you will definatly need it you will get blisters on the inside of your lips and they hurt like all ****.. just keep talking on the down low for a while... you'll learn

It does hurt a lil because your teeth are going to be moving around as they are pulled by the metal. Please, just DON'T bang your mouth against anything!!! Its soooooooo painful!!!! It takes a while for them to put it on. They glue on the brackets, put on the colorful rubber bands, and then they wire everything together. Your mouth will feel sore for a while and they give you wax to put in your mouth if the metal really hurts you. Just make sure you tell the orthodontist if anything is poking you, ok?? Put on a color you feel you will like the most- just be fun. Don't put white on though, cuz it turns yellow and that's gross.

When their putting it on it doesn't hurt but afterward it'll hurt a bit especially when you eat.  The pressure will away in a few day when your teeth gets use to it.  First they would probably glue on brackets on every tooth. Then they they would put on the wires.  And the color, I have the clear braces and i really like because the brackets are smaller and when you smile it doesn't look colorful (just my opinion) Good luck, hope this helped

I don't know if braces will hurt. I never try that before. You should get a white one. So that people won't notice much.
