Im gettin married the colors are yellow and white. but at the reception we are going with yellow white and ?

purple (lavender) for decorations. is that too much?

A pale lavender would be beautiful. As long as the yellow is pale too. Bright yellow and bright purple would be a little much.

Alternatively pale yellow and pale blue would look beautiful too. Like daisy's under a cloudless blue sky.

Purple and yellow don't look to great together. Unless you go with a very pale, soft yellow and purple.

since purple and yellow are opposites on the color wheel, they probably won't look that good together because they will contrast too much. if i were you, i would go with colors closer to yellow on the color wheel such as oranges, pinks, and reds. that way, you can have a bit of a color contrast, but nothing that goes over the top.

Depends on the time of the year....perfect  for spring... a bit much for a fall or winter wedding...

I don't think it would look like too much. My cousin recently got married and theses were the colors for her wedding, she was in white, bridesmaids in yellow etc. The Tableclothes were purple, napkins white flowers yello. I think it will be soo pretty.

I kinda like powder blue with that color scheme... but a pale lavender or softer red might also go well with the yellow and white.
