Im getting a 40 inch full HD LCD very soon.. question is.. Sony or Samsung?

I have heard a few minor problems for both tvs.. but which one should i get.. its gonna be quite a bit of money and both are close in price.. If im spending that much money i want to be sure i got the best.. which one is better?
