  1. we used bepanthen nappy cream last time as recommended by the tattooist and it was really good and healed in no time.

  2. Savlon for the first couple of weeks, then keep it moisturised afterwards with a good Vit A +D moisturiser.

  3. I always use Aquaphor. Its like the bst stuff ever. Use that for a few days before you being putting lotion on it. You can get Aquaphor in any grocery store but its in the baby care section. LOVE IT.

  4. savlon , they also recommend you use it in the tattoo shop after you get it

  5. Well, when I first got my tattoo, I just used petroleum jelly, and everything went well.

  6. i was advised to use savlon or bethlapan...

llyod.........what..!! as ugly as you are...!

  7. i used A&D ointment. worked well.

  8. Go with whatever the artist who works on you recommends.  Most places have touchup policies that require you follow their aftercare recommendations.

The good news is that most options are pretty equivalent; using cream A as opposed to cream B isn't going to change your healing too much (barring additives like scents or other generic "don't do" kinds of things).

  9. just to let you know tatoo's look fugly on women

  10. I use A & D Ointment and my tats always heal great.

  11. I use Aquapor for the first 48 hours and then Lubriderm.

  12. my tattooist gave me tattoo goo its really cooling and feels lovely also really helped with the itching when it was scabbing

  13. Use what the tattoo artist tells you to use. Most shops won't cover free touch-ups if you don't follow THEIR specific aftercare.

  14. Bepanthen

  15. Use UNSCENTED good quality hand lotion frequently and sparingly. The one I personally think is the best is CUREL FRAGRANCE FREE because the main ingredients are glycerin and water. Most hand and body lotions are made of alcohol and oil, and just don't work as well. But the most important thing is that you look at the ingredients in whatever you are going to use and make sure there is NO FRAGRANCE.

Also notice I am saying LOTION not OINTMENT. A lotion allows the wound to breathe as it heals. An ointment covers it with a layer of grease, which will cause it to start leaking out the ink, and eventually you'll set up a big scab. That scab is made out of ink you are losing, so don't let it happen. Just use an unscented lotion frequently and sparingly, rubbing a small amount all the way in as often as possible.

  16. Savlon is the usual recomendation but if the studio you go to sells it I would also suggest Tattoo Goo. Its about £5 a pot and will last an age whilst working wonders!

  17. A&D ointment is the normal, easy to get cream for tattoos. Don't over use it though, just put a small amount on three times a day. If you lather it up though, it can wash away some of the color from the peeling skin so be careful with ANY lotion.

  18. There's no use buying expensive creams when the best thing is A+D ointment!  That stuff works wonders and can be used for all cuts and scrapes, not just new ink.

  19. i used Johnson's Baby Lotion and it worked great.

  20. Tattoo Goo.  The shop will probably stock it, and it helps keep the colour and definition when it's healed.  Definitely worth it.  Use what the tattoo parlour sells and suggests as free touch up work is dependent on you taking good care of the tattoo and following their advice.  A good tattoo artist will be able to tell if you've messed about with it

  21. A&D.  My boyfriend does tattoos and thats what he always uses and it always works as long as you keep using it!!

  22. http://answers.yahoo.com/search/search_r...

Again, the Search bar works well

    .....why not use it?

    A&D worked well for me

  23. get alveno with oatmeal do NOT use A&D cream its too thick your tattoo needs to breath

  24. A&D never let me down whether it be used on my tattoos or my sweet childs booty.

  25. I use Aquaphor, cost about 15 bucks for a tub but lasts forever, I also use it for chapped dry skin and lips.  This was reccomended to me by my artist.  Also Love it!  I found it in regular skin care section at Walmart.
