Im getting a tattoo how painfull and how long will it take?

Ok so im 15 will be 16 soon, I look in or around 18 anyhow and I will just borrow my cousins i.d to get it done but anyhow, im getting 'wake me up when november ends' tattood on my hip bone where your bikini strap would cover. Im getting that tattoo because my mom died in november a year and 9 months ago and I also love greenday. How painfull will it be? Compare it to some kind of pain i.e when I got my stomach pierced I didnt really find it painfull but when im getting my eyebrows plucked it hurts like h**l? Also how long should it take?

The pain is very bearable, the timespan will depend on how big you want the font. I got "audentes fortuna iuvat" tattooed on me and that took about 15 minutes max.

However I'm also surprised that nobody's responding to your saying you are doing it illegally. Of course it is your decision... but 1) there is a reason why there is an age limit, 2) the tattoo artist could get in trouble because you lied and 3) in my opinion you aren't mature enough to decide something this permanent if you're not mature enough to respect the age limit and just have patience. The ink's not going anywhere.

it hurts but it's not to the point where you'll cry or consider never doing it again. It's not that bad. It all depends how big you want it too, I'd guess around 30 minutes or something like that.

Everyone has a different pain threshold and so experiences pain differently. The tattoo I have on my hip bone was stingy, but in no way as sore as the one on my foot. Depends how big you want it, for small lettering it shouldn't take longer than 30mins.

Please dont take some people's advice and drink before hand, you will bleed a lot and p**s off your tattooist, a good one wouldnt ink you when you've been drinking anyways. near the bone, like your pelvic bone is quite painful compared to fleshy areas like your arm or leg, however the pain will only last a while. having a few words done should take around 15 mins, you'd be in there for about 30 mins with 15 of work and the rest inking the needle or changing it. make sure you choose a reputable and most importantly CLEAN tatooist, preferably someone who's work you've seen or has pictures of their work not just designs for you to look at. dont be afraid to speak to a few till you find one you like- being comfortable will gretly reduce the pain and stress.

shouldn't take to long I'm guessing about 20 to 30 Min's with prep time. As for will it hurt, yep it will but it all depends on your pain tolerance.

some people say it doesn't hurt other s say its giving birth. I have a couple both on the tops of my arms & neither of thoughs hurt to much. Its more of a scratch like if a cat scratched you or a rose thorn.

the bone`r parts hurt more less flesh = more pain.

im 18 and have 2 tattoos i can honestly say that having a tattoo done doesnt hurt, to me it felt like at first someone was pinching me then after about 5 mins it goes to like a numb burning sensation. it could hury abit more because its on a bone but i know people thats had it done and they said it doesnt hurt. the time is roughly 30mins to an hour max.

it probably wont take very long, depending on how big you want it. id say around 45 mins. pain wise, especially if plucking your eyebrows hurts you and youre getting the tat on the bone, it will be pretty painful. just try to take someone along with you to talk to so you can keep your mind off the pain.

It will be agonising, will likely become infected and sore for days and make you look ugly, God how I hate tattoos. They make men look like s*** and girls look like tarts.

Imagine that, but for 30 minutes.

It's kinda like a weird, sharp, scratch. If you can't handle plucking your eyebrows, you may need to drink a lot of alcohol beforehand.

How sensitive is your hip? I.e. if you are easily tickled there, then it's going to be h**l.

Any tattoo close to a bone will hurt. But as far as pain i dont think any pain can compare to losing your mom. As for how long?? it depends on if your just gonna get the writtings or if you will do some shading or other add-ons. If not then it should take about an hour and a half or so......

it is going to hurt i felt like i was being scratched by a cat mine is only small on my inner wrist abou3 cm by 3cm and it took less than 10 mins including the outline and filling in.

i would not adv drinking any alcohol before hand as it may make you feel poorly. the advice i would give which is what i was given when i went for mine (and belive me the girl who advised me had a ton of her own tattoos) would be to have something to eat about an hour before hand maybe take a bottle of coke with u as the sugar and caffine will help u if u do start to feel a little poorly.

It will hurt, any tat on a bone hurts more than on a meaty part of your body. The pain won't be so bad you can't take it, but it will be sharp and may even feel like it burns a little, it will be worth the pain if it is something you really want. Main thing for  you to do is just be a still as you can. It will probably be over in 20 minutes. Good luck!
