okay the requirement to pass the class was 3 papers, one of which is a social theory paper. so i wrote it on feminism, it doubles as a movement and a theory. would you guys agree with me and say feminism is a social theory? And if that's not, what about the whole thing on exponential human growth and its negative effects?

  1. Feminism as such is not a social theory.Feministic movements are.We often confuse feminism with women's liberation. It represents the charm of being a female.Inspite of a hard life and trying condions on work-spots, if women do not lose thair charm. it is a triumph of feminism.

  2. Feminism is definitely a theoretical perspective with many social theories under the umbrella of "feminism".  Any sociological theory book should discuss them.  George Ritzer is a big producer of sociological theory books. Hope that confirms what you are thinking.
