Im getting braces and help!!!!!?

do i have to get my cavities filled before i get braces...........please tell me and fast!! thanks so much

it'd be a good idea. you'd be in a lot of pain as is, it'd be harder if you have cavities. depends on the location though. if it is on the top up to you. anywhere else. gotta get them filled

Cavities won't get filled.  The first time I had braces, they would hurt every evening because of the way they work with my teeth.  I couldn't eat my McDonalds luncheon meal because of the braces.  I thought I was gonna suffer and never eat again.  It's tough getting braces at first!

ok i had braces and it doesn't hurt by the way only when tightning but if they spot cavities before bracies then the will put feelings in but they can also do it while you have your braces on. Keep your teeth clean

Yes you need to but they can fill them after you get your braces depending on where the cavity is.

sadly you do. but no worries it wont hurt at all!!! i got like 5 when i was 4 and i didnt even feel it! just relax and nothing will happen.

oh and i was scared about my braces but i laughed at myself after because there was nothing to be scared about!

Everybody that said you dont have to get them filled dont know what the h**l they are talking about or either went to a really bad ortho.Dont listen to them they will have your teeth f***ked up in the long run. I get my braces on sept. 3rd...But I called and talked to several orthdontist before I chose which 1 I wanted to go to and all of them said if I have any cavities I MUST have them filled before getting the braces put on. And their are reasons for that....for one the cavities may get bigger and worse and it could case your teeth to crumble from the pressure of the braces pressing up against your teeth(depending on how bad the cavitiy is)

Probably. but don't worry, its not too bad. and braces stop hurting altogether after a week of you getting them on. you won't even remember you have them.
