Don't worry, you get used to them. You'll look fine with braces, I've had mine for a long time and I don't even notice them anymore. Getting them on can be a tad uncomfortable, and when they tighten them your teeth can feel a bit sore, but never have I had any discomfort that's even close to what you might be thinking.

I thought it would hurt really bad, but it didn't. It just feels weird. A lot of people may tell you that it hurt, but it's totally not true. They're wimps. Don't worry about it.

i'm not really sure until you get them, but getting them on doesn't hurt, it hurts when you bite down on something, but it looks like your not going to have braces for very long

You will look cute with braces.  They don't hurt, can be a little uncomfortable at first though.  Take some ibuprofen before you go to the orthodontist.

HOWEVER... you should not post pictures of yourself like that on here.  There are way too many perverts!

They only hurt when you first get them on...and sometimes when they tighten them. But you're gonna think they will look bad and than when you get them they will look fine!

they should make you look even better then you look like now, plus, if you don't do it now, then it'll will be even harder to get through it. its better to do it a soon as you can, preferably if you're young

Mine didn't hurt, but some people said that they felt sore for a few days before they got used to them. Sometimes they are also sore after you get them tightened. Once you are adapted to them, they don't feel weird at all.

I think you would look great with braces! Though, when you first get them on, they might look a little strange. Try to avoid eating food that will get stuck in the braces; that can be embarrassing.

i used to have ,and mm no it didnt hurt ALOT  just a little dont worry :]

i just got my bottom braces on a few days ago...and they hurt like friggen h**l...ive had my top braces since february,, and they dident hurt,, they were just uncomfortable,, so i dont know why my bottom braces hurt 0_o...i think you'll look even better in braces =]]

make sure you have ibeprofen or tylenol at home,,,and stuff like puding, applesauce, or fruit to make smoothies, because it hurts to chew a little the second day...

im actually getting mine off in october. but anyways, they hurt for about a week when you first get them on. and maybe the first two times you get them tighened. but after that you dont even realize they are there.

I think you'll look just fine with braces. Cute, even.

braces DO hurt, but not a lot.  Usually just the day you get them tightened, and your teeth'll be a little sore.  Just eat soup, or other soft foods on those days, and you'll be fine.

judging by your teeth, you don't have any major gaps. that's good.  "spacers" which are rubberbands that they string across a row of teeth to close gaps, hurt like a mother...

Rubber bands for fixing your bite hurt a little bit too, but after a few days of wearing them, you'll be fine.

No braces don't hurt. i mean of course when u first get them on the are a little sensitive and some foods that you eat will make u feel uncomfortable but you should be in a great deal of pain. Braces don't look bad on anyone. they just look different but when you get them off it is totally worth having them. When you first get them on you are prob. gonna think they look horrible but don't worry they don't. (remember you are always a harder judge on yourself than anyone else) you mouth might feel larger or that ur lips stick out but they don't. and getting braces is part of life and trust me it will be for ur benift just make sure u continue brushing ur teeth and taking care of them so u can get them off as soon as possible

Well i had braces, and alot of people can pull them off, and you certainly wont have a problem

umm as for the hurt factor no they dont, they'll be uncomfortable when they tighten them and u get them on, but its not painful :)
