1. Trust me I know it's scary but most of the time you don't even tough your eye. Just practice a lot and don't worry about it. A little tip about taking them out at night is they are dry so you wanna put some solution or drops in before you take them out they will be much easier to take out some times they will just pop out on there own. good luck.

  2. Your not gonna poke yourself in the eye and go blind, in fact most places won't let you leave the office until you've put them in and taken them out correctly.

And if you do poke yourself in the eye, I strongly doubt you'll go blind.

If you do go blind, you've done something horrible wrong.

Believe me though, I wore contacts once, (I didn't like them though) and you seriously can't really s***w up putting them in or taking them out. They are both quite tricky though, at first, you get better at it.

  3. im totaly agree with u

  4. It will be fine... trust me! you can't poke yourself and go blind. it might be a little difficult at first when putting them in and taking them out but you'll get used to it! When you do it over a period of time you don't even think how to take them out and put them in.

    Hope this helps!

  5. i have contacts and im only 12 i got them when i was 10 well always take them out at night if you have soft contacts its ok to sleep with them for 1 night tops more than that you can get an infection. if their iritating take them out asap because if you rub and theres something under your eye it will give you a scratch and take it from someone who experienced the light burns your eye and you have to wear a patch not fun at all and no you cant poke your eye.:)

  6. Haha, dont worry you're not going to become blind from poking yourself in the eye.

Dont worry about it, when you go to get the contacts, u can ask if u can practice trying them on and taking them out with them so they can give you tips (the optomotrist that is,)

    Have fun!

  7. I am 13 years old and I got contacts a few weeks ago. At first I was really scared and uncomfortable with poking them in my eyes... but I got used to them really fast! Your eyes are a lot stronger than you think. At first contacts are scary but once you get more comfortable with them, it'll be a breeze.

Hope I helped & good luck!

  8. I've had contacts for 10 years, and believe me - you have nothing to be worried about. You will not go blind from poking your eye. You gently touch the finger with your contact on it to your eyeball...no poking is involved!

    Some important things to remember:

    1. Wash your hands before you handle your contacts... you don't want to get any germs/infections in your eyes!

    2. Never sleep in your contacts. Take them out every night!

    3. Make sure when you are putting your contact on your eye that it is right side out...otherwise your eye will feel irritated.

Pretty soon you will be a pro at it! Good luck!
