Im getting

-6 neon tetras

-3 male guppies

-3 female guppies

-baby pleco which i will transfer to my 125 gallon african cichlid tank

-4 snails

-2 african dwarf frogs

-I have 15 years of fishkeeping experience but its been a long time since i have had schooling fish but i was thinking all of those fish would be good in a 10-15 gallon tank if it is over im getting rid of the frogs and pleco or give me some recomendations for a 10 gallon and need not much mainteanance.

  1. At least 20 gallons.  You'd do better with 1 male guppy for every 2-3 females.

Also, you may not want to put the pleco with the Africans.  If it's a SA pleco, the water condition requirements are very different.  There are some beautiful African plecos, but they are generally quite expensive.

For a 10 gallon, I'd suggest 6 tetras and a 3-4 Cory cats.  The frogs would be okay, and since you plan on moving the pleco later, it should be okay.  More critters than this would overstock your tank.  The guppies would cause your tank to become crowded very quickly.

  2. The guppies  and snails will reproduce alot!!!  But I think the other fish would be fine.

  3. the numbers you have are actually perfect for a 10 gallon tank

    so just go for it

and the 1 inch per gallon is BS
