  1. I can only see it working for the flowers.  Bright pink and orange gerbera daisies are really neat together.  But I wouldn't make them both main colors.  Choose one (I vote for pink) and make that the color for dresses and such.  Black is a great contrast for that color.  I had a friend who did black sateen dresses with hot pink bows (trust me, it does NOT look like anyone's headed to a funeral.)

    But the flowers... that's where you could mix in accents of orange for a fun feel, without being too gaudy.  Go to google images and type in pink orange bouquets, or pink orange gerbera, or something like that to get more ideas.

    And my two cents... in 10 or 20 years, your kids are going to laugh you off the face of the planet.  Using trendy colors does that to ya.  But who cares, right?  Do what makes you happy!

  2. Despite the hysterically funny (not!) comments of the early responders, orange and hot pink really go well together.

    Make sure you don't have tons of both colours otherwise the look can be a bit garish.

  3. Well, those colors aren't me, sorry...try searching online for ideas.

  4. sure they call those "sherbet" colors are you planning for a summer wedding?

    If so think tropical flowers such as Orchids, Lillies etc...

    go with what you like after all this is your day there are no rules!

    CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

  5. Beautiful! Try using them as accent colors with crisp white cotton. Tropical flowers for the attendants hair and boutonnieres and for the centerpieces;

    Orange and pink blown glass vases/bowls with contrasting flowers;

    Layers of orange and fuschia tulle over white linens with silk flower napkin rings;

    Ther are a thousand options available to you. I suggest that you pick up the book, The Anti-Bride Guide; Tying the Knot Outside of the Box(they publish a great Etiquette Guide and Wedding Planner, too). It's cover is in your colors too!;

    Reggae and salsa music will rock the reception.

    Congratulations, and good luck!

  6. Hot pink I think could look very good if done right. Orange though....I would go with a more suble shade...like a peach, and then you can have splashes of a more natural bright peach/orange here and there.

    Usually the best table decorations is just a vase with flowers in it and a ribbon tied around it. I think gerber daisies would look amazing and they come in a bright pink, orange, and a peach as well as many other shades.

    What season is the wedding?

  7. Totally beautiful colors man; I would like dye my skin orange and my hair pink.

  8. both colors SEPARATELY are very interesting for a wedding. please don't do hot pink and orange...that's just one big eye sore. i've seen hot pink before and it looks amazing in pictures!

    is it in the evening or morning? emerald green looks pretty too.

  9. Your colors are going to look like Dunkin' Donuts .

    Maybe keep the hot pink and add a green to ground the whole thing.Use white as your accent color and have white roses and other white flowers.You can add green and pink on your wedding party and table settings.

    Good luck and congratulations.

  10. Are you going to get married in a Dunkin Donuts?  Those are their colors.  Not going to look too great.

  11. I love those colors. Nice hot pink orchids would be pretty for your bouquet, Dark purple also looks great with hot pink and orange or a dark yellow. Make it like a tropical or beach theme maybe with black Palm trees in the back round?

    Hot pink bride maids gowns with hot pink ,orange and yellow / dark purple table cloth and settings ,

    Have fun! Congrats!

  12. Hot pick with just an accent of orange would be fine (hope its a summer wedding).  Don't have the colors compete 50/50 that would be just gaudy.

  13. I think you should invite paris hilton and mr. orange to your wedding unless you plan to pick different colors.

  14. I did a wedding cake for a couple this summer and her colors were all brights- like orange, hot pink, lime green, teal, and yellow. She had the bridesmaids wear black dresses with each one having a sash of a different color and the guys wore black with ties of different colors. For the flowers they had gerber daisies of the colors with white ones and on the tables they had black table runners edged in the various colors. On the head table were wine goblets with a black napkin lined with a color rolled up and put in. The cake was a simple hexagon 3 tier with black satin ribbon around the bottom of each tier. She had gerber daisy petals scattered at the base of the cake. The whole effect was awesome. Hope this helps you with ideas!

  15. That seems really bright. Not only that, your bridesmaids will hate you when they get there dresses. LOL. Use whatever colors YOU want, dont rely on other people.

    Good luck and congratulations

  16. You can mix and match all your things. I wouldn't do hot pink though. Maybe a littler pink and orange. Such as the flowers... have the bouquets both colors. The table decorations have a table cover that is one of those colors and then make your centerpieces the other color. You'll think of things....
