Im getting my braces off next off?

Question

yay in early september im getting my nraces taken off

i have a couple of of queistions

1. Does it hurt when they take the braces off?

2. I have gaps in my teeth and they put 2 rubberbands on eachside will the gaps close?

3. Anyother tips

1. nope it doesnt hurt..it just feels awkward. youll be fine, it is SDOOO worth all the time youve invested into braces. just keep on thinking of the perfect teeth youll have!!

2. yes the gaps will most definetly be fixed by then...if not then you getting your braces off may be delayed until its properly fixed, theres no way your orthos gonna take the braces off too early without making sure everythings perfect

3. just relax! if you would feel more comfortable, take a painkiller before you go, but i never needed one. my teeth never did hurt. first they remove your wire and use this tool to pull off each bracket. if any parts gonna cause you discomofrt, its that cause sometimes they have to yank a little hard. but anyways then theyll take off the glue with a different tool. a tip: if your tooth ever starts to feel HOT, just raise your hand and theyll stop. when your tooth starts to feel hot and theyre taking off the glue, it means that theyre touching your tooth's enamel - and you need to keep your enamel. but youll probabaly be fine!

then theyll take the moulds for your retainers...and youll pick them up later that same day. youll pop them in and theyll check to make sure everything fits good, and peolly tell you abit about how to care for your retainers and then youre sent out into the world with perfect teeth!

Ask ur orthadontist for a chain instead of those colered things they put on top of the brackets.  THat will close the gap.  IT doesn't hurt, but your teeth will feel slimey.  It's normal!  HOPE YOUR TEETH LOOK GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. I thought it would hurt, but it doesn't hurt a bit. The only problem I had a little pain though, was when they were getting some of the glue off. My teeth were really sensitive so it made it hurt a tiny bit. But otherwise, no.

2. The gaps will close as long as you wear those rubberbands like crazy. I never really wore mine (mine were for my bite) and I don't have nearly as nice a smile as I could have. But I know for a fact, that my bite & smile look great to me. And that's all that matters.

3. Make sure you keep brushing your teeth very well. When I had my braces off, I had 2 little white spots on my teeth. They're a little bit annoying. And I suggest using the crest white strips for a little while. Because everyone's teeth get a little yellow after braces. & when they give you your retainer...ALWAYS wear it. you're teeth will just go right back to what they were if you don't.

It doesn't hurt when they take the braces off but you do feel a lot of pressure. I thought they were going to push my front teeth out. Also they chipped a tooth, but they sorted it out for me.

The rubber bands should work, they'll slowly push the teeth to close the gap.
