Im getting paid a cash job but required to take my taxes out myself how do i do that?

  1. Maybe and maybe not. Depends. You didn't say who you were working for or what sort of arrangement you have with that person. It is possible that the IRS could rule that you are not self-employed in which case the person you are working for could be held accountable.

    Most likely if this is not for services you usually perform and is less than $400 you can simply claim it as miscl. income and pay no self-employment income otherwise a Schedule C-EZ and a Schedule SE should legally be filed.

    Should you also be collecting sales tax? Another question...
