  1. It is understandable that you are a little nervous but try to be calm.  Everything will be right and you will get better.  I am sure that the surgeins wikk do their best to help you.

  2. Hello, there is no guarantee that you will be alright.  Surgeries carry risk.  Just have confidence in the medical team that will be taking care of you.  Surely they have done it before. If you don't have any faith in a higher power, then that is all that you have.  Anything can happen.  If you do then lean on that extra bit for assurance and to help you relax.  What will be will be, there is no reason to think of the negative until it happens.

Pardon for being so blunt, but I don't believe in sidestepping the truth.

  3. ill think for sure they would put you to sleep so you dont feel the pain or move

  4. Through prayer you could ask God for his blessing during your surgery.  Ask him to help reassure you so that you can rest comfortably.  Also, ask God to use the surgeon's hands as his tools. You may also ask that you have his help with recovery.

I will remember you in my prayers, as well. I certainly hope that the surgery goes well and you have a speedy recovery.

  5. Ha.

I think the best thing to do is just to get it in your mind that everything will be totally fine. There is no way doctors can harm you, as I am sure they have done this procedure tons of times. Everything will be just fine.

  6. Hey Lauryn,

By the time you get this you'll probably be out of surgery, but I just wanted to say I hope it goes very well and you have a quick recovery!

If you do see this, just try and make sure you take it as easy as you can, and if you're scared or nervous about something, don't be afraid to ask the doctors or nurses questions.  A calm patient is better for everyone.  And bring a book or an iPod to the hospital (as long as someone is with you to collect it before you go in).  You may be sitting and waiting for a while, and it's good to have something to keep your mind busy.

    Best wishes!
