k my dog has been missing for 3-4 days now. and hes only a f*cking puppy. and my dads gf has done all she can to get him found. she has put up all these flyers and tomorrow she is going to go on every street and post a flyer. she has even posted something on our city website. and she has also been going around to neighbours and asking if they have seen him. she has called the vet and spca as well. and i really dont think we will find him. i think he is still alive i hope :'( but he just doesn't listen. and the amount of walks we take him for im suprised that he can find his way home. people hav said they have saw him but we look all in that area that they said they saw him at. we even went into a big forest thing or bush and we searched everywhere. we cant find him and if he has died on the rode we would hav known because we hav been going on every rode to make sure. i dont know what to do anymore i miss him so much. i didn't think it was that bad i thought he would just come back so i was ok till i got home and i wasn't use to him not being there. he would always play wit me n i would take him to the stream that he really likes. its just so sad. i keep getting these images in my head to of him laying down with him ears down. like a sad look for him. n hes all dirty n worn out. hes a husky. and also we have went to all the town stores and asked if they've seen him. and we've placed flyers in their store too. plus we are going to put it in the paper. n urrr. its so frustrating like why would he leave. he has a nice home and we always take care of him. we always make sure hes ok. and we aren't strickt with him either. so wtf. is he going to come back?

  1. I'm sorry, that's really scary.  Sounds like you're going everything possible.  The hardest thing in the world is the wait.  He didn't leave because he didn't like you, but because he's a puppy and there's a great big smelly world out there.  If he has a collar, there's a good chance you'll get him back.  If not, it's possible someone will keep him but you've got all those signs up and most people will return him.

One more thing you can check is if there are other animal shelters around.  Call them and make sure they didn't get him by mistake.

  2. I think I saw it playing dead on the interstate. Sorry dude.

  3. Try going on craigslist.com and find your area, then post an ad for him in the lost and found section AND in the pet section! Also, keep an eye out at your local shelters and try to go in at least once every two days. You can also run an ad in your local paper's lost and found section.

I do animal rescue and these are the things I tell people to do when they have lost a pet. It has great success if you cover all bases!

Good luck and don't give up hope. With all the fliers out, if he was hit on the road someone would call and tell you, so I think he may still be alive!

  4. a lot of puppies have chips.

i know when i bought my yorkie last week, she came with a chip already in her.

post flyers in local stores aswell.

i also know petland puts up lost dog signs outside their windows.

if he knows the scent of your house, it could help him find his way home.

there's this one dog in my neighborhood who gets out A LOT, and four times he came back to my house and waited on my front porch.

    there is hope.

the only thing i would be nervous about is the fact that he is a puppy.

whoever finds him will probably want to keep him.

offer a reward so they will not result in not giving him back.

    some people are heartless.

    good luck finding him.

i couldn't imagine what i would do if any of my pets got loose....

wish you the best of luck! :C

  5. Huskys are know to run, all that I can tell you to do is keeping watching for him, check the side of the roads just in case :' (, check at shelters, put flyer's of him in every-ones door, offer an award for the return of him, it doesn't have to be much, but make it something to motivate some people to help you out, unfortunately most people are greedy and want something in return and that is the only way you can get them to participate, also put a lost ad on craigslist.com, it is for free, and a lot of people check on there and post that they found an animal, it is also very possible that someone has taken him in, just keep yours eyes peeled and keep up with everything that you are doing right know, I really wish that I could help you out, good luck in finding him~*~*

  6. My daughter did the same things when her cat was missing, she never gave up, she went to every animal shelter within a 20 mile radius and put fliers in the animal shelters.

3 months later she got a call from one of them. They had her kitty.

Using all of the automated and web site systems does not always work, you have to go to the shelters at least once a week and see the animals that have been brought in.
