  1. Not exactly sure. 6th was middle school for me. :)

But, I'd assume it would be similar, but more work and higher expectations.

  2. every schools policy is different... however, id say 5th grade is as similar to 6th grade. your teacher will often lecture you about how your the older kids on the campus and you need to be a role model towards the younger kids ( or at least  mine did). you'll realize that you're becoming older and your on your way to teenage years... that and, you may get a little more advantages, more assemblies, more freedome, what not... not to mention outdoor ed! thats all i could think of off the top of my head.

  3. well i personally don't see any difference between 5th and 6th grade besides the fact that it's a whole new year

  4. 6th grade is a lot of fun, but your teachers know your getting older so they may expect a bit more from you. If you study hard and do your assignments when they're assigned you'll do fine. Also a great way to have a fantastic year is by signing up for things like sports and band, they keep you healthy, smart and it's a great way to make new friends.

    Have fun!

  5. The school I teach at is similar where the 6th grade class is still part of the elementary school.  For my school, the 6th grade class rotates between the different 6th grade teachers, to emulate intermediate school.  Reading and math is taught by the homeroom teacher.  They switch for science, social studies, PE, health, music and art; where each teacher takes one or two subjects.

6th grade also has more activities, depending on your school.  We have 6th grade banquet and middle school orientation.  Many schools have 6th grade graduation.  In all, there are more expectations from the teachers as they ready you for intermediate.  It'll be fun, you are the leaders of the school btw.

  6. 6th grade wasn't middle school for me either.

Um...it's about the same as 5th, just a little bit more drama (heh, just wait till middle school). Thats about it.
