  1. go to Florida and save the sorry economy

  2. spain, no question. i've been to florida, it is lush and green and i enjoyed my time there but i went to visit friends. if i had a choice between the two i would have picked spain then, now, and would also in the future

  3. yeh if u like drink...goto spain! if you like dolphins gotot florida haha. i love disney land! but it is fekin hot xxxxxx

  4. Ma'am, if you are lucky enough to have this choice, choose neither!

The Costa del Sol is loud, vulgar and expensive and full of loud, vulgar, cheap Brits. It is hardly 'Spain'! You could stay at home and find everything right here, apart from the sun, and get as inebriated as a small amphibian for two weeks.

If you have to choose, go to Orlando. At least the food is cheap - with huge portions - and you could soon be as fat as the average American. There is more to see and to do than watch and listen to building sites and silly Brits. As I said, you can do this at home for less. Watch the weather forecast for hurricanes, etc. This could ruin your whole day -

    or fortnight!

If all you want is 'sea, sangria and sand', then frankly, I am sorry for you. Try Blackpool. At least the chips are better than in the tourist resorts of the 'Costas'.

For less money you could be a little more adventurous. e.g., Including car hire, I was able to tour central and southern France, staying at their famous 'jites' (Many websites and booklets on these.) They vary from cute farmhouses to big city accommodation and even French chateaux. I think it is better to change scene every couple of days, as it is easy to get bored of the same crappy hotel. If you don't drive, you can buy an all-in ticket for their fantastically quick trains.

I had the benefit of being able to do all of the things you might want. Booze - including many great wines (which the hotel people will not give you in CdS) parties, beaches, good and varied food, meeting lots of different people, many different places to visit and things to see and activities to try. (Nothing worse than being stuck in a hotel with the same morons for two weeks.)

So, you have had a couple of days on the beach, met Mickey Mouse a few times and you have eaten and drunk rubbish. Wait a minute ... doesn't sound so bad.

If you are already committed to one of the venues you mention, perhaps have a think about something better next time. You could be lucky. I hope so. I am poor but I try to make my money go a long way.

  5. Choose Florida the exchange rate on the dollar is double that of the euro so much more spending money

  6. orlando florida

    much better

  7. Cos Del Sol Spain.

    It's different

  8. If you're under 21 pick spain...you'll be able to drink there.

  9. Florida.  It won't be that crowded because of gas prices and the economy and they've opened a lot of new attractions...the beach is nice though

  10. at the moment with the euro being very much closer to the pound you will find things cheaper in America.

Orlando will be fun filled and busy with all the theme parks, but dependent on your age may be problematic if you want to go to bars and dring with the age of 21 in force.

Spain, costa del sol, you should be able to to a bit of sunbathing and will be able to participate in the evening activities more.

Go where suits you and your family/friends best, Spain is handy and quicker.

Perhaps go to the one you haven't been to before? no Disney in Spain, just sun and booze!

Thinking about it I would probably take the long haul and go America, if fuel goes up much more nobody will be able to afford to go anywhere!!!!!!!   lol

  11. Orlando Florida - much more to do and see and not as common. Have a brilliant time.

  12. well, of course, costa del sol. it's amazing, the sun shining the whole day, a lot of people, fiesta and you can drink if you want all the time; in fact i'm spanish and if you go there you'll have a lot fun, and there are plenty of things to do

  13. Depends, Florida at this time of year is so hot and humid. Where as in Spain you can get a nice breeze and the sunshine is great.

  14. FLORIDA! - its the best holiday i have ever been on in my whole entire life and as i have been to the costa del sol before, i know that Orlando would be a much better holiday ( for me anyway)

Orlando - is really busy, and packed as their are families going off to the theme parks, but its great and the shopping is really good and cheap!

Costa Del Sol - is more of a relaxing holiday by the beach, which the sand and the sea

i guess its up to you as a person, but i hope this advice helped :)
