My honeymoon is on the 14th of september which is next weekend i am worried about the weather and traveling, so far they have not cancelled the cruise and no changes have been made, From the way it looks the storms should be gone, but josephine is behind them and i am just afraid of the travel, have you ever traveled during a active hurricane season? anyone else going around this time? if they change the course i wonder where we would go its to nassau and freeport?

  1. i live in florida and also took a cruise for my honeymoon. i  had to deal with a hurricane but they just changed the course you'll have to wait till it gets a little closer to the actual cruise for any changes.where ever u end up going it might not be where u wanted to go but it the experience u have while ur there.good luck n congrats!

  2. if it trip is in danger they will HAVE to refund you.

and I am worrying too.... everyone is FLYING here and they shut down the airport when hurricanes come.. not to mention if Ike stays a cat 4 and comes over the warm water, he will strengthen.. Charley was a cat 1 and devastated us in 2004... i am just as freaked as you...

  3. I am on my honey moon now in Miami FL haha! We are just sticking to our plans and if they evacuate, well shoot we have some good stories to tell and will make up for it on our first or fifth anniversary. Who knows?!

I was just checking the weather before I logged onto Yahoo and it looks like one is getting ready to hit in the Bahamas. You really just have to wait it out a bit because their paths can change so quickly. You may get lucky but I would be a little leery of being in the ocean on a cruise boat.

Can you change plans if it is cancelled?
