Im going on a cruise next week the 14th for our honeymoon, what happens when a hurricane hits or is out there?

do they cancel the cruise, or what will happen? i know its 11 days away but im in savannah ga and we have to storms heading straight for us, hannah and ike right behind, and we leave out from port canaveral fla. so i dont know what to expect never really crossed my mind until now. So has anyone ever been through this? the cruise is a 4 day to nassau and freeport bahamas. any info would be helpful thanks!!

  1. Just enjoy the cruise and don't think about hurricanes.  


  2. Hannah will be gone and over land by then and Ike will be towards the west. They might sail on a route that won't be affected by the hurricane. Check with cruise line a day or two before the trip and double check. If they don't cancel it, enjoy and have fun and don't worry about hurricanes. They wouldn't have you sailing through a hurricane.  

  3. We will be at the same place at the same time on our same honeymoon week.

    We are in the keys. Worst case scenario for YOU, is like what they did for the cruise following Gustav.
