  1. Here's the advice you need and are asking for.

.Don't take anything more than a back pack, unless you have a rack on the back.

.If you have extra room on the bike, maybe an extra fuel can, depending on how many Mpg. you can get, it will help in case you are between gas stations.

.Wet/Dry slicker in case of rain.

.A vibration pad for your butt. Also take lot's of breaks on the ride.

.Find out the sweet spot on the miles per hour for that bike, which mph. get's the best fuel milage and runs the smoothest.

.Drink lot's of water if it's hot where you are riding.

    7. Take 1 bottle of water with you, in case something happens, you will need water.

.Check the tire pressure, oil and all the rest before you leave and again when you have ridden 200 miles. Look for leaks, loose chain, anything that can fall off due to vibration, even the shifter lever can loosen on trips.

.Relax and enjoy the ride.

.Take an Ipod or ear plugs or both, helps cut down road noise and the wind in your ears.
