Im going on a plane for 9 hours soon does that mean im at risk for 9 hours?

flying is safer than driving, so try to relax.

But: most plane crashes happen at take off or landing (extremely seldom when planes are at cruising altitude)--- so if you are scared, focus your energy on the first 10 mins and the last 10 mins and enjoy the movies mid-flight.

Also remember: when a plane lifts off or lands, it goes through layers of different temperature air, which means that the plane will shake, and it's perfectly normal.

Occasionally in flight, there will also be turbulence and the plane may go up and down. Funnily, going with the air current is actually safer than going against it-- so while you may feel uncomfortable, it's generally completely safe.

And if all else fails, keep an eye on the stewardesses. If they look cool, all is okay and turbulence is under control.
