  1. If you still have time left, research the company, and be prepared to tell what you know about the company if you have an opportunity.  When someone asks you a question, include an example with your answer.  Be confident (don't let your nerves show, hard as that sounds).  Good luck!

  2. remember, the person who is most qualified is not the person who gets the job, its the person that the interviewer LIKES THE BEST, and would feel comfortable working with. So be likeable

  3. Couple Tips that have always helped me:

    1) Find out the names of people your interviewing with and type your cover letter with their information on it, so you can hand it to them with your resume attached.

    2) I don't know what your industry is, but I have always found that I have landed every job interview I did when I went in there with a confident, upbeat attitude (some industries don't respond to upbeat, lol). I always try to make sure to make the interviewer smile without being overly funny/silly.... just be charismatic. Sell yourself like your the BEST THING that would ever happen to them, they just don’t' know it yet (even if you don't necessarily feel that as of yet).

    3) Also, its important to come with questions... REAL questions about the position, the organization, their management style, the typical career path, the effects on the local economy on their business, ask them about competitors... and on and on, really show them you gave it some serious thought. They really respect that.

    4) Bring typed up list of references and any and all reference letters in a quality binder that you can provide to them at the end of interview

    5) If your transition in an industry you've worked in before or have academic background in, bring SAMPLE WORK! Show them what your capable of. I guarantee these things will make you stand out!

    6) LASTLY, definitely, get everyone's business card that your interviewed with and make sure to thank them for the interview the very next day. Try to personalize based on the conversation you had with them so they know it's not generic. They will totally remember you!

These have always helped me stand out and hopefully they will work for you too.. All the best
