  1. yes apart from Liz Taylor house I don't know what kind of temples you want to see in Puerto Vallarta, sorry but to avoid dissapointment you must go to the other side of the Country or going little bit down (like 3 States) in the Pacific Coast.

To see temples (prehispanic) is in Yucatan peninsula (Chichen Itzá, Tulum), that is in the caribbean not in the pacific or in Oaxaca (Montealban), or in Mexico City, (Teotihuacan) or in Veracruz (Tajín) or Tabasco (La Venta) or Chiapas (Yaxchilan, Palenque).

Puerto vallarta is beach, beach and more beach.

  2. Sorry, but my good friend Rhino is correct. There are no temples or ruins in the immediate area. There are however a lot of other things to see and do.See link below for some suggestions and prices:

    Have a great trip!

  3. There are many Aztec and Maya ruins in Mexico, however none of them are close to Puerto Vallleta.  Probably the closest are the Ruins of Ixtlan, a smallish ruin--read about it below.  If you could arrange your flights so that you spend two nights in Mexico City, then you could go out to Teotihuacan--they are much more impressive ruins.  And if you boyfriend is into ancient civilizations, the National Museum of Anthropology should not be missed in Mexico City.

  4. Chitzenitza is incredible i went there and like wow you get to walk to the top ( walk in zig zags it's easyier) ushmall it's gorgeus but if you go to google and search temples to visit in mexico you should get some answers

  5. I went to Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton's house, that was quite interesting.  Also i went swimming with dolphins, that was great.  Theres loads to do but i found it hard to get away from the beautiful beach and sea!

  6. The best place I have found to research tours is http://www.puertovallartatours.net.

They are great folks, and have a lot of info.

Ruins and temples are limited in PV, but there are many exciting tours.

    Enjoy your trip.
