I'm going the pocono mountains this sunday and the website said the high temperature is going to be 20 degrees which is cold!

so i was wondering if im warm enough

-Jacket from calvin klein that has a thick material and with 80% duck down feathers [its a puffer coat]

-scarf

-waterproof golves

-leggings under waterproof pants

- aero hoodie with hearts all over it with tiny faux [fake] fur in it

-snowboots of course for snow tubbing

-thick knee high socks

do i need anything else? any tips to survive the cold?

  1. if your coat has an inside pocket, i recommend having a thing of chapstick on you.

also sunglasses, because glare from the snow is very bright, and sunblock on your face because you will regret if you don't

    to stay warm,

get a hat, thermal underwear (top and bottom), maybe a thin pair of socks underneath the thick ones (or even toe socks!), longsleeve shirt under the hoodie

have fun! wish i could be there, but it did snow today...in southern Mississippi of all places!!

  2. A hat that will cover your ears, also I'd take a couple of hand warmers to put in my gloves and also in my vest pocket.

  3. Sounds plenty warm and like a cute outfit. Have fun skiing!

PS: You might want to think about earmuffs. Maybe, I don't know. Whatever have fun!

  4. First off...20's is not cold....0 is cold. If you are from Miami...then 20 is cold...otherwise, it's just normal.

If you are not skiing, then you should be warm with what you have. Snow tubing isn't something you get particularly wet doing. Furthermore, it will be too cold to rain or to have serious snow melt, so if you get some snow on you...just dust it off before you go inside..if you don't, you'll get wet...then you'll get cold when you go back outside.

Wear a freakin' hat. You lose most of your body heat through your head.

If going outside in winter isn't a usual thing for you, just bundle up and don't go spending money of stuff you'll never use again.

Other tips: Bring $$$. We love tourists.

  5. you need to make sure you have a thick, waterproof coat.  I couldn't open the link to the coat, but you want to make sure it is fully lined and that it zips up fully.  you want to have somthing on your neck--believe it or not, it's the place that you don't think about, but when the wind hits it you'll regret the bare skin.  You can can wear a turtleneck or a dickie (like Turtle Fur) to cover it.

The biggest thing is to make sure all of your outer garments are waterproof.  You're gloves are waterproof so that's good, but make sure they are thick enough to protect your fingers.

You can also buy the small heat packs that hunters use at an outdoor store, and that will help.
