Im going to Cancun?

Question

Hello!

I'm going to Cancun on June 2 and Im gonna be there for about a week and a half. Can anyone recommend things to do?

o and Im staying at the CasaMagna Marriott hotel maybe someone has been there by any chance?

there is a bus there that is a bar hopping bus its 50 dollars and takes u to all the clubs along the strip...DEFFINITLY go to Senor Frogs..

also,go to the flee market there are awesome suveniers annndddd go to the outdoor mall that was the best!

The Marriott CasaMagna is an excellent resort, you will be so happy with your choice on staying there. The best part is there are so many great restaurants there, next door at the JW Marriott and across the street is La Dolce Vita and Lorito Joe's Lobster Shack.

As far as things to do, I highly recommend that you visit the Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza and or Tulum. The site of Chichen Itza is the larger and more spectacular of the sights and was voted in the top 7 man made wonders of the world. The only thing is that it is located inland and becomes quite hot during the day. If you plan to return to the Cancun area in the future, then perhaps you should visit Tulum instead. These ruins are located overlooking the Caribbean Sea, so it is a much cooler ruin site. You also couple this tour with a stop at an area eco park. i prefer Xel-Ha because it is a smaller more relaxing park with lots of water activities. I recommend you also get the All-Inclsuive pplan because you will save lots of money on food and drinks. The park of Xcaret is fantastic too, but I recommend that park be visited on its own and not combined with anything else.

I suggest that you consider doing a lot of tours that will have you in the water since it will be hot when you go. There are lots of tours such as snorkeling, swimming with dolphins and even a unique experience that is only available during the summer, the swim with whale sharks. Aside from doing these tours, I highly recommend you do your own self guided day trip to Isla Mujeres. This is a little island located just off Cancun's northern shore. One of my favorite ways to get to the island is by taking the Dolphin Disovery swim tour, which is held on the island. They take you there, and after your swim or visit to Garrafon National Park, ask them to call you a taxi. From there you go to the northern town to rent a golf cart for the rest of the day and drive around exploring. There's a fantastic restaurant on Playa Lancheros where they prepare a BBQ fish dish known as Tikkin-Xic (pronounced Teek-een-Cheeck), it's a Mayan recipe that is simply a can't miss. There is also a beautiful beach called Playa Norte, a turtle farm and a small Mayan ruin to name a few more places to see on the island. At the end of your day, get a one way ticket to Puerto Juarez ferry port, located 25 minutes north of Cancun's Hotel Zone. The last ferry going back at 9 p.m. goes there and this will allow you to maximize your time on the island.
