Im going to Cancun..?

Question

Im going to Cancun in May.. and I have some questions..

1. How much money do you think I should take if im going to be there for a week.

2. What are some fun things to do???

3. How much is everything there???

I'm going to Cancun for the 3rd time this May and I always go Memorial Day weekend.  From what I've seen most of the clubs in Cancun offer an open bar for around $40 so that will cover your whole night.  Basically any cab you take whether it be 1 mile or 10 miles is around $7 USD.  Everyone takes USD so that's not a problem.  The cost of food depends on where you go.  We ate at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse one night and was just as expensive as it is at home so it's pretty much the same.  If you have the time you should see the Mayan ruins.  Some of the better clubs are Coco Bongos, the City, and G Spot, although you can have fun anywhere.  Make sure you bring a camera, sunblock, and aloe vera in case you do get burnt.  Have fun!

We'll be in Cancun May 8th-15th. Staying at the Riu Palace Las Americas. Do the bar hopping tour that includes Coco Bongo, also do a jungle tour which includes waverunners and snorkeling. Both are a great bang for the buck!!

almost everything is in dollars :) be prepared if you want to have awesome vacations! ;) but also u could get some good prices by searching.

Call these guys, they are there and great, honest and helpful. For rooms and fun... Al and Rob 1-888-862-3806 These  things are what we always find time to do.

Definately the Swim with Dolphins, this is fantastic especially if you go to Dolphin Discovery on Isla Mujeres, as you have a 40 minute boat ride there and back with open bar and entertainment.

The Captain Hook Pirate ships are another fun thing to try.

A Jungle tour through the mangroves, with snorkelling over the Coral reefs.

If you´re into diving, then Call Ben Mooney at http://www.mayanaquadive.com as he knows some great dive sites.

Xcaret is a wonderful day out, as you get to enjoy an ecopark, with dolphins, turtles ect and then get to watch probably the best show in the whole of Mexico at night.

A catamaran trip with http://www.cancuncatamarans.com... is a must, a day sailing and snorkeling, with buffet lunch on Isla Mujeres, open bar, a shopping trip and the chance to have your picture taken holding a live shark.

At night, try the Cancun Party Hopper, there are now 2 different versions going to different bars, and they are great fun.

1. The hotels in Cancun are a mixture of European Plans (i.e. just a room) and All-Inclusive Plans (which I highly recommend) so the amount of $ you bring depends on the type of hotel you stay. At All-Inclusives you do not need much cash at all, honestly $100 tops for tipping. If you are staying at a European plan hotel, then plan to bring about $700+ to take care of food, drinks, shopping and excursions you might want to go on. Everywhere you go in Cancun will accept US cash, so do not bother to exchange for pesos. You can also always just use your credit card too.

2. Fun things to do- Check out Senor Frogs and other famous night spots, go for a day excursion to the Mayan Ruins, go snorkeling, just kick back and enjoy the sun!

3. Cancun's prices are higher than other parts of Mexico because it is a tourist spot. Alcohol and food will not be too much cheaper than in the US.
