Im going to El Salvador this summer and want to know if my phone will work over their?

I know their is sum plan but how do you know if you have it? Is it worth getting for only 4 days im with AT&T? Thanks for your help! :)

you have to have international calling on your plan.  probably not worth it for 4 days.

It all depends on the roaming.

Check with your company and ask them how wide is the roaming you have.

If you have a quad band phone yes it should work with AT&T's international plan.

There are several cell phone providers in El Salvador, Claro, Movistar, Red,Digicell and Tigo.

I use Tigo as it seems to work all over the country.

How ever there is a cheaper alternative If you go to a Tigo store, not a kiosk, you have have your phone unlocked and a sim card for El Salvador put in your phone for about $5.00

buy some prepaid minutes and you are off and calling or buy a cheap phone there and give it to somebody there when you leave.

I have done both. Either  way is cheaper than the couple of bucks a minute that AT&T wants.
